The National Youth Development Agency (NYDA) says it will request funding of more than R1 billion from the government in the next financial year.
Speaking at the launch of youth month programme in Pretoria, NYDA CEO, Steven Ngubeni, states that, “We’ll be fighting for a billion and more.”
The NYDA, which asked for close to R1 billion in the 2010/11 financial year and was only allocated R320 million, is also calling on government departments and the private sector to support the organisation in the implementation of youth development programmes.
