NGO Says ANC to Lose Power by 2024
Friday, July 6, 2012 - 11:07
The South African Institute of Race Relations (SAIRR) says the African National Congress (ANC) is dying, and will lose its parliamentary majority at or before the 2024 national elections.
In a policy brief published by the SAIRR, the organisation’s head of the unit for risk analysis and also deputy chief executive officer, Frans Cronje, warns that the ANC has entered a period of terminal decline.
Cronje says that the party’s demise is now inevitable, and it is time for South Africans to start considering a future without it.
