On the occasion of its 10th anniversary, the Department of Sociology at the Faculty of Law and History of the South-West University "Neofit Rilski" Blagoevgrad organizes an international conference on "Religion and Politics."
The conference is organized by the most dynamically
developing Department of Sociology in Bulgaria, which
has achieved a reputation for its teaching, research,
publications, and international cooperation for the
ten years of its existence. Situated in the beautiful
city of Blagoevgrad (close to the capital Sofia, the
picturesque Rila monastery, Greece and Macedonia),
which is one of the educational and cultural centers
of Southeastern Europe.

- Political and Religious Coordinates of Bulgarian Society Working languages: Bulgarian and English The conference will take place on 03 and 04 June 2005 (Friday and Saturday) in hall 114, Corpus 1 of the South-West University "Neofit Rilski", 66 Ivan Mihailov Str., 2700 Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria. Everyone interested in the Social Sciences, the Humanities, Religion, Politics, etc. is invited. Participants will be offered accommodation, meals, and transportation between Sofia and Blagoevgrad. There will be no participation fee. The conference papers should be up to 10 standard pages. Potential participants are invited to send a letter, including the name of the participant, institutional affiliation, contact e-mail, the title of the paper, and a one page summary to one of the following contact addresses:
