The Executive Board of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has approved a new three-year arrangement for Malawi under the Extended Credit Facility (ECF).
The Board's decision will enable an immediate disbursement equivalent of about US$19.5 million.
The IMF states that the, "…new ECF arrangement provides support for the authorities' medium-term economic program based on Malawi's second Growth and Development Strategy.”
