South African Government Online reports that National Development Agency (NDA) CEO, Delani Mthembu, has been suspended from his position. The suspension follows a forensic audit of the NDA instituted by Department of Social Development after reports of alleged mismanagement, conflict of interests and corruption. (Click here for previous coverage on Thusanang)Minister of Social Development, Zola Skweyiya, said the suspension was necessary to allow for a fair investigation and the normal functioning of the organisation. The NDA Board, however, will continue functioning until a new Board has been appointed.
