MXit Campaign Targets World AIDS Day

Social networking platform MXit has put its technology to work to help raise HIV and AIDS awareness on World AIDS Day, 1 December 2008.

MXit has teamed up with the South African National AIDS Council (SANAC) to launch a campaign that raises HIV/AIDS awareness amongst the country’s youth and money for future projects.

MXit CEO and founder, Herman Heunis, says the MXit brand stands for the evolution of technology and communication and the company is constantly try to push the envelope with what is possible using this platform. “MXit is more than just games and chat - we support an entire lifestyle - and see ourselves very much in this role", said Heunis.
