Much Work Needed on Gender Equality
Social Development Minister, Bathabile Dlamini, says there is still much work to be done to realise gender equality.
“While much progress has been made in the fight for gender rights over the last 18 years, there is still much work to be done in the quest for gender equality,” Dlamini said during her address on the first day of the Nonprofit Organisations Summit held in Johannesburg.
She added that through the provincial dialogues with the civil society in the past few months, the department realised that there are different organisations, including the ones that still exclude people based on race and class.
