MPs Criticise Kenya Violence Report
Thursday, July 23, 2009 - 16:11
Politicians named in the Kenya National Commission on Human Rights (KNCHR) list of post-poll chaos suspects will collectively sue to have their names expunged.
Tourism Minister Najib Balala, Assistant Minister Elizabeth Ongoro and MP Omondi Anyanga said they would fight to get justice done.
Ongoro, who says that she is ready to defend her name whether locally or internationally, claims that the KNCHR "has lost credibility and will". She argues that the KNCHR is full of aspiring politicians who want to implicate others in constituencies they have an interest.
The criticism comes after the KNCHR released a report containing names of those suspected to have been behind the post-election violence in Kenya.
