Mkonza Blames Zuma for SABC Crisis

Former South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) Board chairperson, Kanyi Mkonza, says that President Jacob Zuma’s “indifference” is to blame for the public broadcaster’s woes.

Mkonza, who had a day earlier admitted that she “sucked as a leader”, pointed out that Zuma has failed to show leadership and ought to have said whether he wanted the board to stay or not.

“Though I suck as a leader, I am saying due to the political climate of the country this board never had a chance and that’s what we need to be talking about,” explains Mkonza.
