Inquiry into SABC Boardroom Squabbles

The Portfolio Committee on Communications says it will consider launching an inquiry into the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) boardroom squabbles.

This, after the committee heard allegations and recriminations from board members who have passed a vote of no confidence against board member Advocate Cawe Mahlati accusing her of a disruptive behaviour.

Meanwhile, Mahlati is of the view that the board's actions against her are meant to muzzle her efforts to uncover what she claims is widespread corruption and maladministration within the board.
