Inequality Increasing in South Africa – SAIRR

The South African Institute for Race Relations (SAIRR) says income inequality has risen in South Africa in the past 10 years.
In its annual review of the country, SAIRR argues that the increase in income inequality in the country is a cause for concern. The review found that between 1997 and 2007, income inequality increased by five percent with was an increase in equality within race groups, with the exception of whites.
