Govt to Electrify All Houses By 2014

The Department of Energy promises to provide all citizens with electricity by its 2014 deadline.

The department states that it is intensifying its electrification programme to homes that are far away from the national grid.

This emerged at the Africa-EU Energy Partnership conference being held in Cape Town, where the department also said that its resource plan will deal with increasing energy capacity by 2030.
