Gift of the Givers takes fund to the Mall

The Witness, 14 January 2005 As reported by the Witness, The Gift of the Givers Foundation in Pietermaritzburg, took its Tsunami Relief campaign to the Liberty Midlands Mall to make it easier for the public to donate. The foundation, which has so far raised R12 million, has set a target of raising R20 million in the next two weeks, according to foundation co-ordinator Dr Imtiaz Sooliman. He said their relief campaign has had a tremendous response. "We've had people all over the country donating and even people overseas, especially those who are still in holiday destinations," he said. The Mall Manager said,"Indeed, many people didn't know how to make a donation and where to go, but they can be assured that making a contribution here will change lives.
