EC maths education gets R1m boost

EAST LONDON -- "Don't live with the idea that mathematics is a difficult subject -- but learn it, enjoy it, and it can be a real fun."That's the message from Johannesburg-based Zenex when it launched its senior secondary schools mathematic project at Rhodes University here.

The launch was attended by about 30 teachers from selected schools in the Border region.Zenex director Tom Penlington said the project would involve investing more than R1m in the Eastern Cape over three years.
