A precise new technology is set to revolutionise surgery for prostate cancer in South Africa.

Exclusive to the Waterfall City Hospital in Midrand and the Christiaan Barnard Memorial Hospital in Cape Town, a four armed robot equipped with a high definition camera, is able to remove cancerous prostate glands in men less invasively than traditional surgery.

Urologist at the Waterfall City Hospital, Dr. Marius Conradie says, the robotic surgery will save time and money and will also lessen the risk of infection.
