While skills are related to employment, the skills shortage in cyber security means that South Africa is facing a problem which is global in nature. This problem needs to be addressed urgently in order to participate fruitfully within the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
In order for our country to be ready to counter cyber-crime, we need to have a pool of young employees and/or graduates skilled in cyber security. These skills are in demand as global economies are moving towards artificial intelligence and internet trading.
