Democracy Development Program
The Democracy Development Program (DDP) was initiated in 1993 as a partner project of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation of Germany. For the last 19 years it has been a nonprofit organisation (NPO), supporting capacity building on governance and civil society levels to ensure that both are empowered for meaningful participation in South Africa’s social transformation.
The DDP is conducting a course on World Value Survey - Briefing on 19 March 2015 in Durban.
World Value Survey- Briefing - “Tracking the Pulse of the People”
Value Change in South Africa post Apartheid.
The Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) is organising a series of World Value Survey Workshops for different target groups, like business, civil society, politicians and media with the aim to provide them with relevant extracts of survey findings and trends.
The latest round of the World Value Survey, which has been tracking the values of South Africans since 1981, has just been completed. The Centre for International and Comparative Politics (University of Stellenbosch) will be presenting the findings from this survey, providing crucial insights into people’s perception of democracy and delivery issues in our country. The changing value orientations of South Africans over the past three decades, focusing on areas such as family, religion, work and gender, will also be analysed.
KAS in cooperation with its partner the Democracy Development Program (DDP), would like to invite you to join us for this presentation by Prof. Hennie Kotze’, Lead Researcher of the World Values Survey in South Africa at the University of Stellenbosch, that is specifically addressed to local government officials and the civil society sector.
