University of Fort Hare: PHD Proposal Development Programme

The University of Fort Hare, in conjunction with South Africa – VU – Strategic Alliances (SAVUSA) is offering selected South African candidates a free full PHD Proposal Development Programme.

Participation in the skill programme will provide participants with the knowledge required to produce a full PHD Proposal, which may be then submitted to a university of their choice.

Holders of Master’s degree who are interested in pursuing a PHD in the following or related fields, are invited to apply:

  • Agricultural Sciences;
  • Agricultural Economics;
  • Environmental Studies;
  • Rural Human and Social Dynamics;
  • Rural Livelihoods and Development;
  • Land and Agrarian Change.
The programme will consist of two weeks of contact sessions, held during the weeks of 16-20 April and 9-13 July 2012.

Travel and accommodation expenses are the responsibility of participants.
