Designing Educational Events

Are you feeling somewhat jaded in your approach? Do you struggle to get your message across?
Perhaps you need inspiration or refreshing new ideas.
Equip yourself with the knowledge and skills to effectively design, implement and evaluate a variety of educational programmes for youth and adults, in your organisation, business, church groups or community. Designing Educational Events offers you, whether you are a brand-new facilitator or very skilled trainer, hands-on experience to critically examine educational methodologies, acquire technical skills and learn innovative strategies to produce programmes that effect personal and social transformation.
During a fun-filled, intensively structured, residential five-day course, you will gain:
*     a comprehensive understanding for the application of experiential learning as a constructive educational framework;
*    skills to demonstrate creative ways to design, implement and evaluate an array of learning programmes;
*     insight into group dynamics and skills to address complex issues that emerge in group situations;
 *     a deepened awareness and the ability to respond to intricacies between process  and content issues during learning programmes.

In addition, deliberate exercises on personal discovery and trainer introspection are offered to build and maintain sound interpersonal relationships and bring about a heightened consciousness about the role of the trainer in the broader environment.
The course is based residentially at Koinonia Centre in Botha’s Hill and runs from
8 – 12 February, 2010. Accommodation, course materials and all meals are included.
