The Southern Africa Institute of Fundraising (SAIF) in Partnership with Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) are hosting a three-day course on Fundamentals of Fundraising from 15-17 July 2015 in Durban.
 
Designed by experienced fundraising professionals to meet the real-world needs and challenges facing non-profit organisations today, this intensive course delivers up-to-date fundraising knowledge, techniques and skills.
 
The course is aimed at fundraisers with zero to four years’ fundraising experience and those responsible for generating income, such as executive directors, fundraising and programme managers, new business development officers, special events co-ordinators, volunteers, leaders of faith or community-based organisations, school governing bodies, small trusts and foundations.
 
The three-day programme covers:

  • Module 1: Overview of Fundraising
  • Module 2: Developing an Integrated Fundraising Programme
  • Module 3: Marketing for Ongoing Success
  • Module 4: Building and Sustaining Relationships
  • Module 5: Securing the Gift
  • Module 6: Volunteers – Partners in Fundraising
  • Module 7: Management and Accountability

Each student receives a 400-page manual.  Dynamic trainers, insightful lectures and case studies - and the participants’ own dialogue - makes this course substantive and enjoyable. 

Candidates will be assessed by means of assignments and in compiling a Portfolio of Evidence. On completion of the seven modules, certificates are awarded.
 
Important: Full participation in the course is applicable to 16.0 points of a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) qualification, with an opportunity to build credits towards Unit Standards of the Further Education and Training Certificate in Fundraising (FETC: Fundraising) as registered with the Southern Africa Qualification Authority (SAQA). 
 
Course fee: R6 500 SAIF members or R7 500 non-members* - payable on registration -  includes 400-page manual, all materials and refreshments.
