Siyakhula Trust: Team Leadership
Siyakhula Trust is a NGO whose mission is to assist community leaders, NGOs and government officials develop skills so that they can efficiently initiate and manage development and job creation projects to the benefit of the communities they serve.
Siyakhula Trust is conducting a five-day course on Team Leadership from 5-9 October in Cape Town, from 9-13 November 2009 in Johannesburg, and from 23-27 November 2009 in Bloemfontein.
Purpose:
At the end of the programme the learners will be able to effectively lead and manage their teams to the benefit of their organisations
Target Group:
Managers and high potential employees who are being considered for promotion into a management position.

Effective Team Leadership
- Formulating teams (both organisational and focused community member teams)

- Setting the vision and involving your team
- Clarifying team members’ responsibilities
- Developing team members
- Using a team problem-solving approach to resolving problems
- Conducting effective meetings
- Coaching and Counselling
- Evaluating performance of team against strategic and operational objectives

Learners who wish to work towards earning credits for a particular Unit Standard will be required to complete a Knowledge Assignment and submit a Portfolio of Evidence for assessment
This programme has been accredited by the Services SETA and carries 11 credits at level 5
