The South African Institute for Advanced Constitutional, Public, Human Rights and International Law is hosting a one-day conference on the theme “The Responsibilities of Business for the Realisation of Human Rights: Towards Greater Regulation” on 3 November 2008 in Johannesburg.
The conference will explore the obligations that business has for realising human rights, whether there is a need for greater regulation in South Africa and, if so, the methods of holding business accountable.
