Launch: UNCTAD Investment Policy Framework for Sustainable Development

The Mandela Institute at University of the Witwatersrand’s School of Law in partnership with The EDGE Institute, is hosting the South African launch of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development Policy Framework for Sustainable Development (IPFSD) on 26 July 2012 in Johannesburg.

Minister of Trade and Industry, Dr Rob Davies, and James Khan, director, Division of Investment and Enterprise, United Nations Conference on Trade and Development, Geneva, will be keynote speakers at the launch. Other speakers include Professor Janathan Klaaren, head of University of the Witwatersrand’s School of Law and Professor Stephen Gelb, The EDGE Institute and the University of Johannesburg.

UNCTAD’s IPFSD is conceived to assist policymakers to design policies that effectively mobilise investment and ensure its positive contribution to sustainable development.
