International Conference on Public Administration

The School of Public Management and Administration at the University of Pretoria, in collaboration with the African Consortium of Public Administration, is hosting an International Conference on Public Administration from 5-6 November 2009 in Pretoria.

The conference will focus on the following issues:

• Public administration theory in the contemporary state
• Formulating sustainable policies for a developmental state
• Leadership, governance and policy implementation: capacity and competence constraints
• Monitoring and evaluation: measuring effectiveness and efficiency of governmental programmes
