IAJ: Internal Communications
The Institute for the Advancement of Journalism (IAJ) is conducting a one-day course on Internal Communications on 24 November 2008 in Johannesburg.
Communicating with employees is a hard business. It demands a deeper and more organised approach to motivating employees to become the brand ambassadors of the company or the organisation. Research shows that to succeed companies have to take the leadership to consider internal communication as a strategic internal investment. Thus internal communications become a business opportunity. Management will have to sell internal communications to employees in order to convince them and demonstrate that it is a business imperative for the company success. There are many ways to craft the required internal communication. The outline bellows provides a useful approach to a successful strategy.
This course will:
- Introduce participants to the concepts of internal communications
- Provide sufficient understanding and knowledge about the internal communications process
- Teach participants the fundamental strategic building blocks of internal communications
- Strengthen participants abilities to master internal communications processes
Participants will be able to:
- Craft consistent and strong internal communication strategies
- Master the process of internal communication leadership
- Know how to invest in internal communication planning „X Efficiently manage the value-chain of internal communications environments small, medium and large sizes
- Measure the success of internal communications requirements.
