GIBS Network for Social Entrepreneurs is conducting training on Financial Management for non Financial Managers Workshop on 30 September 2009 in Johannesburg.

  • Understand key financial management trends in the development sector
  • Ensure you have a sound financial management system in your organisation
  • Better understand and manage your organisation’s financial risks
  • Read and interpret financial statements - income statement against budget, balance sheet and cash flow projection)
  • Become familiar with the current South African tax and registration regimes for non-profit organisations
  • Understand the auditing requirements
The one-day “Financial Management” course has been designed to assist non-profit leaders to communicate within a financial context and to better understand the impact of finance-related considerations on organisational decision making.

There is growing pressure on non-profit leaders to be confident in the financial management of their organisation and to be able to report the organisation’s financial position in a clear, knowledgeable and transparent manner to various stakeholders. This course will provide a solid platform for delegates to increase their financial knowledge as well as include specific insights into issues relevant to development sector organisations in South Africa.
