GIBS: Certificate Programme in Social Entrepreneurship
The University of Pretoria’s Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS) is conducting a Certificate Programme in Social Entrepreneurship (SE) from 2 April to 12 October 2009 in Johannesburg.
The course is aimed at providing the participants with core strategic and operational skills needed for the SE-focused market (NPOs, NGOs and PBOs, etc) to succeed and scale up in the African development context.
Target Audience
- Leaders and managers of social enterprises
- NPOs or other social initiatives
- Government officials
- Donor mangers
- Business people
- CSI executives looking to better understand the emerging SE space
Duration: Four 5-day modules
Timeline: Module 1: 2 -6 April
Module 2: 4-8 June
Module 3: 30 July - 3 Aug
Module 4: 8 - 12 October
Venue: GIBS campus, Johannesburg
Fees: R 12,000
Accreditation: In Year 1, students will receive a Certificate of Participation. By Year 2 it will be an accredited, examined certificate programme.
