CBO Hub: Environmental Conversations

Are you doing something about Climate Change Effects on the Environment? Is it Global Warming or Climate Change? Fact: A person is supposed to get at least an average 47% of oxygen intake naturally. Most people wake up in the morning tired more than when they went to bend because their oxygen intake is lower. Oxygen intake is now standing between 8 and 12% within Gauteng with South Africa being the 5th highest poluter in the world. This causes road rage during peak hours as oxygen intake stands between 4 and 6% during these times. What are we doing doing to save the planet since we heard that the Ozone layer is damaged?

South Africans are doing something within their communities to address the issues of climate change and global warming. There are community based organisations (CBOs) who are taking care of their neighbourhood.

These CBO's host conversations every 1st week of every month. The dicussion is centred around Organic Farming, Materials Reclamation, Green Construction, Rainwater Harvesting, Greywater treatment and Composting.

The next meeting will be held on 4 August 2010 (09h30 for 10h00 until 14h30 latest). Bring something to share with the group. It could be tea bags, cakes or home made bread or it could be cash to buy what's not available.

This is an interesting and eye opening conversational space.
