AISA: Scholarly Publishing in Africa - Opportunities and Impediments
The Africa Institute of South Africa is hosting a two-day international conference on Scholarly Publishing in Africa: Opportunities and Impediments from 28-29 May 2009.
The conference is aimed at examining the state of scholarly publishing on the continent with a view of influencing policy regarding the fostering of an enabling environment for scholarly knowledge production.
The conference will also focus on the contribution that open source publishing technologies can make to improving access to research and scholarship on a global and public scale.
