Advancement & Fundraising Basics

Inyathelo – The South African Institute for Advancement (SAIIA), a NGO that assists institutions and organisations to develop a professional approach to raising the donor-investment required to advance their objectives, is conducting a course on Advancement and Fundraising Basics from 4-5 March 2009 in Cape Town.

This workshop offers participants an opportunity to examine the donor world and the strategic management of donor relations. This includes an exploration of why donors contribute to society, how to create an investment climate in your organisation, building relationships with prospective donors and to how to maintain those relationships.

The workshop will also offer specific skills training including how to write proposals and how to conduct a meeting with a donor.
