Accessing ARVs in the Public Sector

The HIV Prevention Research Unit (HPRU), Medical Research Council (MRC) and the Centre for HIV/AIDS Networking (HIVAN), are hosting a discussion forum on the theme ‘Accessing ARVs in the Public Sector’ on 30 June 2009 in Durban.

This presentation will cover what an HIV-infected person should do to access appropriate care. This will include the options for HIV care including testing, clinical management and ultimately access to antiretroviral (ARV) care. Emphasis will be placed on all issues related to ARV care including when to access, where to access, what documentation is needed, what to expect once enrolled, etc.

There will be a five minute slot at each forum, for a forum participant to provide a short overview of the HIV-related activities of their organisation. These sessions need to be pre-arranged. Please therefore email the Forum Coordinator should you be interested in participating in one of these sessions.
