15 bursary places now available
The International Fundraising Congress - IFC - Pop Ups: South Africa bring together some of the most illustrious speakers from both IFC Holland and IFC Asia directly to African social impact leaders and fundraisers.
This year the IFC Pop Ups: South Africa will take place in Jo’burg at GIBS on 20 February; in Durban at UKZN Wesville Campus on 7 March; and in Cape Town at GSB at UCT V&A Waterfront on 14 March.
Through recorded videos, live presentations and Q&As, you'll have the opportunity to learn from some of the world’s leading fundraising experts.
With two sessions running concurrently throughout the day, there’s a wide choice of session topics to choose from, including:
- Digital maturity for NGOs - why and how to start your transformation
- How Greenpeace UK generated 500 000 new sign-ups through video-led Facebook lead generation
- What makes monthly giving programmes flourish
- Developing your storytelling powers for good
- Creating a powerful volunteering force
- Finding, Meeting and Talking to Donors
A live Q&A via Skype will enable you to interact directly with some of the speakers and facilitated discussions will help you explore how to apply the concepts and ideas locally.
The programme will open with six fundraisers sharing inspirational fundraising ideas and campaigns from around the world from the, “I wish I’d thought of that” session at IFC 2018.
In addition, the Bertha Centre for Social Innovation & Entrepreneurship will deliver a session on how NPOs can embrace innovative finance and social enterprise opportunities.
The conference will close with an inspiring presentation by the Cape of Good Hope SPCA, on how they grew their peer-to-peer fundraising programme from zero to generating R1.5 million in unrestricted income per year.
The cost to attend is R990 per person and includes all refreshments and lunch.
There are also 15 full bursary places (5 per venue) available for women up to 36 years old working in the social impact sector, sponsored by the Carolina Nyberg-Steiser Bursary Programme. Successful applicants will also have the opportunity to apply for a bursary place to attend IFC 2019 in the Netherlands (15 – 18 October 2019).
