HREA is an international non-governmental and non-profit organization that supports human rights education; the training of human rights defenders and professional groups; and the development of educational materials and programming. HREA is dedicated to quality education and training to promote understanding, attitudes and actions to protect human rights, and to foster the development of peaceable, free and just communities.
This course is aimed at development practitioners working in the field of children’s rights who are planning or considering undertaking an analysis of the situation of children’s rights. The course will enable participants to understand the concepts and principles of human rights/children’s rights and their application in the production of an analysis of the degree to which children realise their rights and the factors and obstacles that prevent them. Participants will consider strategies and practical approaches appropriate to their own CRSA needs and will have the opportunity through individual and group assignments to practice the use of rights based analysis tools and to consider the practical challenges in planning and managing a CRSA process.
