Academy for Quality Healthcare (AQuaH)
One in 10 patients may be harmed while in hospital. Estimates show that in developed countries as many as 1 in 10 patients is harmed while receiving hospital care. A range of errors and adverse events can cause harm to patients. This course is aimed at aiding healthcare workers to learn from errors. The culture of learning from an adverse event must be inculcated from the culture of reporting adverse events timely without fear of being reprimanded. The course will also cover the process of ensuring reporting and analysis of the systems deficiencies that cause adverse event in the delivery of healthcare services.
