2017 BHF Conference - 18th BHF Annual Southern African Conference

Board of Healthcare Funders of Southern Africa

Plans are well underway for the 18th  BHF Annual Southern African Conference and we are pleased to invite you to this prestigious event, to be held once again in the beautiful City of  Cape Town. This year’s event is scheduled to be held from the 16th-19th July in Cape Town at the International Convention Centre.

Theme summary

Entitled, Private Sector embracing Universal Healthcare, the theme for the 2017 Annual BHF Southern African Conference is centred around how the private sector can embrace the move towards universal healthcare.

Whilst government takes the lead, the value and contribution that the industry can bring to the process, is being recognised throughout the world. The expertise, experience and capabilities can help deliver on the “promise to leave no one behind”.

The journey towards UHC might be long and challenging, however, we believe that with more partnerships between public and private sector, good leadership with the political will, we might be able to make that journey to achieve this goal a lot easier.

Whatever form the role maybe – the private sector needs to be a partner on the same path as the government, not an outsider.

BHF looks forward to welcoming you to this exciting event, which offers a great opportunity to network with like-minded individuals towards a common goal.
