Microsoft Corporation Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Satya Nadella, recently announced a new three-part initiative to ensure that Microsoft’s cloud computing resources serve the public good. As part of this initiative, Microsoft Philanthropies will donate US$1 billion of Microsoft Cloud Services, measured at fair market value to serve nonprofits and university researchers over the next three years.
SANGONeT, in partnership with Microsoft, invites you to a ‘Tech4Good NGO Day’, taking place on Thursday, 19 May 2016 in Durban.
The event will showcase and demonstrate cloud based solutions available to non-governmental organisations (NGOs), including Microsoft Azure, Office 365, Power BI, CRM Online and Enterprise Mobility Suite. The event will also provide an opportunity for SANGONeT to introduce NGOs to validation token and other technology offerings from SANGOTeCH. The latter is SANGONeT’s online technology donation programme that assists NGOs by providing software and hardware for very low or discounted fees in conjunction with ICT donor partners. The programme also supports NGOs to maximise their information communication technology (ICT) purchases and infrastructure.
Participants will have an opportunity to discuss ICT challenges during the event. We encourage NGOs in the KwaZulu-Natal to join us at this event.
Participation is free of charge.
