MS Training Centre for Development Cooperation (MS-TCDC)
MS Training Centre for Development Cooperation (MS-TCDC) is a training centre for development cooperation in Eastern and Southern Africa. The centre is situated close to Arusha in Northern Tanzania (East Africa).
Throughout the year different courses and workshops run concurrently in a lively international atmosphere promoting sharing of experience and cross cultural discussions. Excellent facilities together with a quiet and pleasant atmosphere make it an ideal place for reflection and learning.
MS Training Centre for Development Cooperation is conducting a course on Advanced Monitoring and Evaluation from 13-24 July 2015, 21 September to 4 October 2015, 30 November to 11 December 2015, in Arusha, Tanzania.
By the end of the course participants will be able to Describe and develop OM monitoring tools (Outcome Journal, Strategy Journal and Performance Journal) using a case study, Describe how to conduct evaluation using OM (Outcome harvesting), Appreciating different ways of integrating OM to logframe, Developing M&E tools for meta evaluations, Develop M&E system for organisation, conduct advanced data analysis using SPSS.
The main objective is to equip participants with skills and knowledge of new approaches to Monitoring, evaluation and learning for development programs. The course intents to equip participants with skills for cost effective M&E processes and practice in organisation
- Introduction to Outcome Mapping Approach;
- Intentional Design in OM (Boundary partners, Outcome Challenge, Progress Markers, Strategy Maps);
- Outcome and Performance Monitoring;
- OM Monitoring Tools (Outcome Journal, Strategy Journal and Performance Journal);
- Evaluation Planning in OM (Outcome Harvesting);
- Integrating OM to logframe approach;
- Developing M&E system for organisation (Advanced);
- Conducting meta evaluations;
- Advanced quantitative data analysis (Multivariate analysis).
People with vast experience in M&E, people who and are doing and leading M&E processes in their organisation, donors and Consultants in M&E who would like to try new approaches of doing M&E and who would like to improve their skills in advanced M&E data analysis. This course also targets those working in complex programs/environments.
