18 Month Review of AIDS, Health and Law in South Africa
The AIDS Law Project (ALP) is a NGO that focuses on removing obstacles that prevent people with HIV/AIDS from having access to adequate health care and treatment in both the private and public sectors, from contesting unfair treatment and discrimination or that deny people with HIV/AIDS access to employment, employee benefits, insurance, education and other services.
The ALP is launching its 18 Month Review of AIDS, Health and Law in South Africa on 24 March 2009 in Johannesburg. This review reports on the work of the ALP and provides an analysis of trends in law and health policy more broadly.
