10 Years of Environmental Impact Assessments in South Africa

The Department of Environmental Affairs and Tourism is hosting a conference entitled “10 Year Review of the Environmental Impact Assessments in South Africa” from 24-25 November 2008 in Cape Town.

The conference is aimed at looking at the Environment Impact Management since 1997, discuss, debate and explore alternative tools to environment impact assessments in view of a new national environmental impact management strategy and action plan.
