Christopher Savides, General Manger, FNB Complementary Online Services & eBucks Bulk Buying

Chris Savides has recently been appointed General Manager: FNB Complementary Online Services and eBucks Bulk Buying.

As a key member of the eBucks innovation team, Savides was most recently tasked with bringing FNB’s PayPal project to life. Not only does he manage the PayPal business unit and PayPal product for FNB, but he also heads the eBucks Bulk Buy Solution, managing both the division and merchandise function.

Savides joined eBucks in 2008 as Innovations Manager, where he was responsible for indentifying, researching and evaluating new business opportunities and developing supporting business cases, marketing plans and financial models.

Before joining eBucks, Savides worked for 10 years in various eCommerce-related managerial positions at leading South African hospitality and retail brands including Dion, Makro, Incredible Connection and Sun International. He also founded and ran FS Trading Solutions, a website development, project management and content maintenance company for five years.

Savides has also chaired the South African Retail Liaison Committee (1999-2000), a retail industry body, which supplies markets figures to assist retailers with sales and market analysis. He is also a founding member of the South African Forum for eTailers (S.A.F.E), which promotes the online shopping industry in South Africa.

Savides received his B. Comm (Business Management and Industrial Psychology) in 1999 from the University of South Africa
