The Pebbles Project Trust seeks to employ an Early Childhood Development (ECD) Programme Manager, based in Stellenbosch.

The ECD Manager will be responsible for the overall management, monitoring and evaluating of the ECD Programme, in addition to overseeing a team of ECD Support Teachers.

SA Urged to Tackle Xenophobia and Racism

Navi Pillay, former United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights says that South Africa urgently needs a national action plan to fight racism and xenophobia.

Pillay, who was addressing the Women's Network in Durban, believes that government should consult the whole community on what form of action needs to be taken to address racism and xenophobia.

Pillay, who is also a former International Criminal Court judge, maintains that: "I am always a human right protector and defender and I will continue to serve but in an informal capacity in whatever way I can."

The Pebbles Project Trust seeks to appoint a Social Worker based in Stellenbosch.

This is a three-year renewable contract based on funding and performance. This is a full-day position (08h00 – 17h00), 4-5 days per week.

Mokonyane Urges Rand Water to Communicate Better

Water and sanitation minister, Nomvula Mokonyane's office urges Rand Water to work closer and to communicate better with communities regarding water supply interruptions and other challenges.

Speaking at a meeting with the board, Mokonyane reminds the board that “[as a member]… you have a responsibility towards the communities you serve."

The board had to close the gap between their commitment to communities and what was eventually delivered, it also had to look at their current way of doing things, and how it could possibly be changed for positive results.
