Reports say concern is building in Zimbabwe over the fate of a human rights activist who has been missing for 20 days.
Pressure group, Sokwanele, posted an alert on its website that Paul Chizuze, an activist, allegedly left his home around 20h00 on 8 February and that what happened after this remains a mystery.

The Nelson Mandela Foundation (NMF) extended condolences to the next of kin of Nat Bregman, a attorney whom the former President Nelson Mandela, once described as his first ‘white friend’.
The NMF says that in a recent interview with the Nelson Mandela Centre of Memory, Bregman recalled how at the time he was a member of the Communist Party of South Africa and invited Mandela to attend ‘mixed parties’ with him, something which impressed Mandela.

The Royal Swaziland police force detained a group of about 40 political activists and journalists at a hotel in Manzini on Monday afternoon, while the country’s rulers were celebrating Independence Day. The activists, about half of whom are South Africans, were in the middle of a meeting when the police invaded.

The Nelson Mandela Foundation (NMF) has described the death of Sheena Duncan as a ‘significant loss to South Africa and to which she and her organisation, the Black Sash, devoted their lives since 1955’.
In a press statement, NMF chief executive, Achmat Dangor, points out that, “Duncan and her colleagues provided invaluable assistance to thousands of victims of petty apartheid and kept the public aware of the atrocities of racist policies through their famous silent protests."
