Scripture Union: South Africa Regional Directors

Scripture Union South Africa has two Regional Director (RD) opportunities available,
one in Cape Town and the other in Gauteng.

SU is needing to find outstanding key senior Christian leaders who are excellently qualified and have
a calling to ministry with young people. The ministry impact of the two regional operations
(Cape Town and Gauteng) is critical as they are two of SU’s key strategic centres.

Responsibilities include:

Conservation : Service Provider for Accredited training in Self-Leadership (Northern Cape)

Conservation South Africa believes “People need nature to thrive “, and so its work seeks to promote and support conservation, restoration, and sustainable land use in South Africa’s Hotspots as an essential element of food security and land reform, human and economic development, and building resilience to the impacts of climate change. CSA helps local communities protect these natural habitats that support their livelihoods by helping them to acquire skills and implement initiatives that helps protect nature and counteract the effects of climate change and other activities that negatively

The True Value of Homegrown Entrepreneurs

This past month has been an insightful journey here at The RealStart Trust, starting with the first phase of our Entrepreneurship Programme. It’s great to get the theory down, but as all well know, the real learning starts when you get practical.

Walking with the students as they critically engage with perceptions around their own skills and dreams, business and the opportunities in their communities, has not only brought some valuable insight to the table, but also raised interesting questions.

Help2read: Relationship Coordinator

Help2read, established in 2006, is a literacy development, non-profit organisation working to develop English literacy skills of Foundation Phase learners in low and no-fee government schools in and around Johannesburg and the Cape Peninsula. Help2read’s Vision is that all children will leave primary school literate. To achieve this, help2read provides one-on-one English literacy interventions by training volunteers and youth Literacy Tutors to assist in over crowded primary schools, providing individual reading and literacy support to Foundation Phase learners throughout the year.  

GBTSA: CSI & Institutional funding Consultant

Established in 1958, Girls and Boys Town South Africa (GBTSA) is a national nonprofit organization that runs proven and successful programmes to strengthen vulnerable youth. Through a combination of interventions, we on average, assist between 16 000 to 20 000 beneficiaries a year. GBT core focus is to remove the obstacles and barriers that prevent children from finding their light and helping them to Shine.

GBT seeks to appoint an enthusiastic CSI and Institutional Funding Consultant to be based inJohannesburg.
