NGO Urged to Keep Girls in School

A primary school head teacher at Chambuluka in Chikwawa district, Malawi, has asked for non-governmental organisations to go to his school and implement activities that will help keep girls in school.

The head teacher, Baton Sande, made the remarks when Nice Trust Chikwawa office organised an interface meeting with the communities.

He said there have been 10 dropouts of girls in the first term as well as the second term which is not yet finished posing a threat that there might be more of dropouts if no tangible measures are put in place.

Ikamva Lisezandleni Zethu:Executive Assistant

IkamvaYouth seeks to appoint an Executive Assistant to be based in Pretoria.

The purpose of this position is to provide administrative and secretarial support to the CEO as well as communication and logistical support for key meetings such as all Board and SubCom meetings.

The School Turnaround Foundation is an educational NGO that supports to schools to achieve excellence. School Turnaround Foundation is not about ‘improving schools’, but rather to develop “excellent school by design”, where all learners are stretched and supported to be successful, in order to realise their ‘dreams’ beyond schooling.  It means that the organisation does things differently so that the organisation moves beyond the high dropout rate, the mediocre learner outcomes, high unemployment and despair.
