Govt, NGOs Partner Against AIDS

The Tanzanian government, in partnership with non-governmental organisation which fights against HIV/AIDS, are set to embark on a special programme to minimise HIV/AIDS new cases in the region.

Regional HIV/AIDS coordinator, Dr Mohamed Iyulu, says the programme will target people who are at high risk of contacting the diseases identified as, Key Vulnerable Population (KVP).

Global Fund, Botswana, Partner to Fight HIV and TB

 

Two new grants signed between the Global Fund and Botswana mark a new phase of partnership, with a focus on preventing, treating and caring for people affected by HIV and tuberculosis.

The financial resources provided through the Global Fund come from many sources and partners, represented today at a signing event by the United States, the United Kingdom, Japan, the European Union, Germany and France. The grants signed today total US$27 million.

AFSA: Psychosocial Project Officer

The AIDS Foundation of South Africa (AFSA) is a well-respected organisation that exists to support local, national and regional efforts to reduce new HIV, STI and TB infections, address the social and structural drivers of HIV, remove the barriers to the realisation of sexual and reproductive health rights (SRHR) and build resilient communities.

AFSA seeks to appoint a Psychosocial Project Officer to be based in KZN.

NACOSA: Site Coordinator

NACOSA is a network of over 1,800 civil society organisations working together to turn the tide on HIV, AIDS and TB in Southern Africa. NACOSA promotes dialogue, builds capacity with accredited training, mentoring and technical assistance and channels resources to support service delivery on the ground, particularly among children and youth, key populations and women and girls.

NACOSA seeks to appoint a suitably qualified Site Coordinators to be based in the Eastern Cape and Kwazulu-Natal region.

ITPC is a worldwide network of community activists united by our vision of a longer, healthier, more productive life for people living with HIV and/or AIDS (PLWHA). ITPC’s mission is to enable communities in need to access HIV treatment. ITPC was formed in 2003 at a historic meeting of 125 HIV treatment activists, mostly from the global south, that took place in Cape Town, South Africa.  In 2005, ITPC registered as a company limited by guarantee. It is was incorporated in Botswana under the Botswana Companies Act.
