The Global Teachers Institute (GTI) is a teacher development platform dedicated to strengthening teacher capacity and the quality of schooling in South Africa and across the world by changing the way teachers are trained. The GTI aims to empower student teachers, current faculty, school leaders, and education organisations by offering a range of programs that refocus teacher training and professional development on the principles of classroom excellence, consciousness development, and social responsibility.

Zenex Foundation:Terms of Reference: Evaluation services for the Early Grade Reading Programme

This is a call for the services of an agency/ consortium of agencies/ individuals available to extend evaluation support to the Department of Basic Education’s (DBE) Early Grade Reading Programme (EGRP). The programme is a reading improvement intervention that seeks to support the instruction of Home Language and English First Additional (EFAL) reading outcomes of Foundation Phase classrooms in the North West province of South Africa. This document sets out the details of the project and the evaluation services required from 2021 to 2023.

Higher Education Resource Services South Africa (HERS-SA) is a non-governmental organisation founded in 2003. HERS-SA is aimed at addressing the need for gender equity in
the South African higher education sector.

HERS-SA seeks to appoint a Chairperson to be based in South Africa.

This is a voluntary role in the organisation and is not remunerated. An allowance/stipend will be considered. Travelling costs to and from Boardmeetings as well as accommodation, where necessary, will be covered by the organisation.
