The latest edition of the South Africa Yearbook is ready for distribution. This book contains a useful overview of the socio-economic, technological, environmental challenges and achievements facing South Africa.
The book is published by Government Communication and Information Systems (GCIS), consists of 23 information-packed chapters, an addendum with a list of abbreviations, contact details of government departments, parastatals and diplomatic missions in South Africa and abroad.
The yearbook is a comprehensive source of reference about South Africa; it talks to many aspects of South African culture such as languages, sports and music. The third edition of the Pocket Guide to South Africa, which contains information gleaned from the Yearbook, will also be released next month.
