Nonprofit Online News, 21 February 2007.
In January 2007, the readers of Nonprofit Online News (NON), which include SANGONeT staff, participated in a survey on the topic of work-life satisfaction. The survey was aimed at making a comparison between work-life satisfaction in civil society and society at large.
The report emanating from this survey tells us that meaningful work comes at a price.
According to Michael Gilbert of NON, “The price of meaning is that we must continue to walk that path, even if it means we are not 'completely satisfied'. Hunger for change, for justice, for healing, for beauty, is, after all, what civil society is all about.”
